Callings

Callings spur on much of our lives, and can come from many sources.

Some people are called by deeply held values, such as liberty and country.

Some feel called by their unique abilities, such as working with their hands.

Some hear the call in tender, newborn life, regardless of the form.

Some forge fearlessly into the mayhem to find order in the chaos.

And some?  Well, they’re just little boys, hearing the siren song of the rain, responding to the call to splash like there’s no tomorrow.

And I have this crazy idea that God’s the one doing the calling.
